Tiketa is a Portuguese brand specialising in personalised labels for identifying clothing, objects, school supplies, footwear and other personal belongings. With an operation focused on families, schools, nurseries, care homes and institutions, the brand identified the digital channel as a strategic opportunity to continue growing and reach new markets.
Although Tiketa already had an online presence, the existing solution had limitations in terms of functionality and the shopping experience, and no longer met the needs of an operation increasingly focused on ecommerce.
Tiketa turned to Toogas to modernise its digital presence, create a more efficient shopping experience and develop a technological infrastructure capable of supporting the growth of its B2C business and the brand’s international expansion. The main challenges included:
Modernising the ecommerce platform and ensuring a more robust and scalable solution.
Creating an intuitive shopping experience for products with a high level of personalisation.
Developing and managing three websites with separate domains, targeting different markets.
Integrating ecommerce, invoicing, payments and logistics, reducing operational complexity.
Strengthening Tiketa’s presence in the Spanish market and creating the conditions to accelerate international expansion.
Implementing a reporting and analytics structure to monitor the performance of the digital channel.
Toogas took responsibility for the development and implementation of Tiketa’s new B2C ecommerce solution, creating a digital ecosystem capable of centralising the brand’s operation while also responding to the specific needs of different markets with a customised layout.
The new solution was developed on Magento, providing Tiketa with an up-to-date technological infrastructure designed to support the continued growth of its online operation.
As personalisation is a core part of Tiketa’s value proposition, one of the most important elements of the project was the development of a label simulator integrated into the shopping experience. This feature allows customers to configure and preview the personalisation of their labels directly on the website, bringing the digital experience closer to the final product and making the configuration process more intuitive.
The implementation also included:
A customised layout, developed in line with Tiketa’s visual identity and optimised for conversion.
Centralised order management.
Integration with Moloni to support invoicing processes.
Integration with Stripe for payment processing.
Integration with carriers to streamline logistics management and order fulfilment.
Implementation of reporting and analytics for continuous monitoring of ecommerce performance.
“We have been working with Toogas since 2019, when we were looking for a Portuguese team that was close to us and had Magento experience and certification to handle the migration of our online store.
From the outset, there was one particularly important challenge for us: Tiketa does not have a conventional online store. Our products are personalised, and we needed to be able to show customers a simulation of the label that was as close as possible to what our machines would actually produce. That was probably the first major challenge we put to the Toogas team, and it remains one of the areas that requires the most development and attention.
The current store was launched in July 2019 and, since then, a great deal has changed. Over the years, we have carried out Magento upgrades, added new features, integrated new payment methods, improved the checkout process and adapted the platform to new needs as they emerged. And, naturally, there has also been all the maintenance and the inevitable issues that come with a platform of this scale and complexity.
One of the things we value most about Toogas is precisely the fact that, after so many years, they know our project and the particularities of our business very well. That is extremely valuable to us. We do not have to start from scratch every time a new need arises, and we are able to discuss solutions with people who already understand Tiketa’s journey.
We also greatly value the team’s availability, particularly during our most critical periods. It is equally important for us to have someone who acts as the link between Tiketa and the different Toogas teams, always available to support us, coordinate our needs and help us find the right people and solutions for each situation. And knowing that, when a truly urgent situation arises, we can quickly reach the right people, including the CEO and CTO directly when necessary, gives us an important sense of security.
Over the years, we have also had the opportunity to work with other areas of Toogas. For some time, we also worked with the Digital Marketing team, and we have very positive memories of that period and of the results achieved. The ability to access different areas of expertise within the same company is also something we value.
But perhaps the most important thing after seven years is the relationship that has been built. We know the people, they know us, and they know our business. There is closeness, ease of communication and trust to discuss both what is going well and what needs to be improved.
After all these years, we no longer see Toogas simply as the company that developed our online store. It is the team that has supported an important part of Tiketa’s technological growth and evolution.“
